London and the south-east have one of the mildest climates in the UK, but the London weather can be unpredictable.
Summer can be very pleasant with temperatures averaging 18C (64F) and often into the low 20s. In recent years, London has experienced heatwaves with temperatures well above 30C (86F).
Typical temperatures for winter are between 2 and 10C (35 and 50F). Temperatures don't often drop below freezing and snow isn't common – although occasionally London does experience heavy snowfall and an army of snowmen pop up all over the city!
