Traditional weddings in Romania happen very often in villages or small towns. The bride and the groom choose 2 couples that will be the godparents, which will have the role of advisers for the newlyweds. They participate in the religious ceremony and sit with the bride and groom at the same table. Also the ceremony of picking up the bride goes like this : the groom eith his father and best man go to the bride’s house to pick her up in a very emotional ceremony.
