The woman was unhappy because she had to wait for half an hour before her order was taken. (= Femeia era nemulțumită deoarece a trebuit să aștepte jumătate de oră ca cineva să îi ia comanda.)
2. What does she want to know? (= Ce vrea ea să știe?)
She wants to know whether the eggs are free-ranged. (= Ea vrea să știe dacă ouăle sunt „libere” (adică dacă găinilor li se dă voie să iasă afară).
3. Why does the man want an early breakfast? (= De ce dorește omul să servească micul dejun mai repede?)
The man wants an early breakfast because he's got a train to catch the next morning. (= El dorește să servească micul dejun mai devreme deoarece trebuie să prindă un tren a doua zi dimineață.)
4. What explanation does Nicola give to him? (= Ce explicație îi dă Nicola?)
Nicola explains to him that there's nothing he can do, since breakfast isn't served until seven o'clock. (= Nicola îi explică că nu poate face nimic, deoarece micul dejun se servește abia la ora șapte.)
5. What does Morris think of Nicola's behaviour? (= Ce crede Morris despre comportamentul lui Nicola?)
Morris believes that Nicola was rude to the guests and expects him to have a polite and helpful behaviour towards them. (= Morris este de părere că Nicola a fost nerespectuos cu clienții și se așteaptă ca acesta să aibă un comportament politicos.)
