Leonardo DiCaprio was born in Hollywood, California on 11th November 1974. His father's family came from Naples. His mother's family were from Germany. They chose the name Leonardo because they liked Leonardo da Vinci. When he was a child, he often visited his grandparents in Germany. He went to school in Los Angeles. When he was a teenager, he worked on television shows. In 1991 he made his first film. In 1997 he was in the film "Titanic". He became a very famous actor.
