A week ago I ordered from the internet a present for my best friend. She was giving me hints about wanting a mug so that's what I ordered.
This morning, the parcel arrived. Excited, I went to take it and hurriedly opened the box so I could admire the present. But because I was too hurried, somehow I accidentally managed to drop it.
Looking down at the broken pieces of the mug and sad at the huge mess I made, I quietly cleaned everything.
The clock is ticking, and my best friend will be here soon. Defeated, I was waiting for her to arrive so I can take up to what I did.
All I wanted was to spoil her, but in the end I ended up being embarrassed.
I hope she will understand.
