Yesterday, we came to terms with the party ( you can also use the term "blowout" which means the same. It is mainly used in US)
The party room was done up ( to do up = to decorate sth ), the tables were laid up, the music was selected, the cake was ordered, the flowers were set to rights ( but I'd go for the expression "spruce up" which is my favourite one and also the most used in my daily speaking ), our food was prepared, the cookies were stored in the refrigerator. All my friends were invited!
