Pe latura (BC) a triunghiului ABC se ia punctul M si fie N ∈ AC, P ∈ AB, astfel incat MN║AB si MP║AC. Sa se demonstreze egalitatile:

a) [tex] \frac{NC}{AC} + \frac{PB}{AB}= 1 [/tex]
b) [tex] \frac{PA}{AB} + \frac{NA}{AC}= 1 [/tex]

triunghiurile BPM si ABC sunt asemenea:

PB/AB=PM/AC ⇒ PB/AB=NA/AC (2)

NC/AC+NA/AC=AC/AC=1 cu (2) rezulta NC/AC+PB/AB=1

PA/AB+PB/AB=AB/AB=1 cu (2) rezulta PA/AB+NA/AC=1
