The narrator is a person which in the past had No money so he decide to explore the sea because life bored him. He felt that it is a way to fighting the sadness. Now is paid to go on sea as a member of the crew .He enjoy the hard work as a sailor because he feel alive. His plans for the future is to go on a whaling voyage because he loves to sail forbidden seas and to study the mystery of whales.
