I prefer casual clothes because to me being comfortable is better than anything. I usually wear boots, jeans, tank tops and jackets so that I can feel my best every day. I always choose dark colours when it's cold outside while in the summer you will see me wearing bright ones. At school we are free to wear whatever we want and I once again choose a laid back, sporty style. Wearing a uniform can make students more attentive to the outfits they assemble because it requires a more elegant approach. Also, it can be a way of keeping social status private since everyone has to wear the same things and kids would be unlikely to try to stand out in any way. One disadvantage would be that after a while, wearing the same uniform could become tedious and boring but kids are sure to find a way to personalize their clothes even if rules are against it.
