Prezentul Simplu se foloseşte când propoziţia ta se referă:
la o activitate repetată (Ex: I go to the gym twice a day=Mă duc la sală de două ori pe zi);
la o activitate permanentă (Ex: She speak a foreign language=Ea vorbeşte o limbă străină).
La afirmativ este: (I/You/He/She/It/We/You/They)+ vb-e/es (se adaugă e/es DOAR la persoana a III a (He/She/It, folosim es când cuvântul se termină cu SS, CH, SH, O, X sau consoană+y).
La negativ este: Do/Does (folosim DOES doar la persoana a III a)+S+vb la forma sa fără să adăugăm e/es.
La interogativ este: S+Do/Does+not+vb la forma sa fără să adăugam e/es.
Excepţie face be: la negativ este I'm not. You aren't call.
la interogativ este Are I? Are You?
Presentul Continuu se foloseşte când propoziţia ta se referă la:
la o activitate în progres (Ex: He read a book now=El citeşte o carte acum).
la o activitate temporară (Ex: Jon isn't going to school this week=Jon nu merge la şcoală săptămâna asta).
la o activitate ireversibilă (Ex: She is window=Ea este văduvă).
La afirmativ este: S+ am/are/is+vb-ing.
La negativ este: am/are/is+S+vb-ing.
La interogativ este: S+am/are/is+not+vb-ing.
