School Holidays
The school year always starts at the beginning of September.
There are three terms in the school year-autumn, spring and summer-and three main holidays:
the Crismas holidays-two weeks
the Easter holidays-two weeks
the summer holidays-six weeks
There are also short holidaysin Octomber, February and May.
These are for one week or ten days. We call them half-term holidays , because they're in the middle of the school term.
