My favourite novelist is James Joyce, one of the most important writers of the 20th century. As the author of 'Ulysses', Joyce reinvented the novel as well as he brought back on the stage of literature the Homer's story about the greek hero Ulysses (he take part in the Troian War as a leader of greeks).
Through his characters, Joyce wrote novels inspired by several events of his life. He used a new style in literature: a mixture of English and Irish with Latin, he make fun of people or religion etc.
